Governor Lifts Regional Stay-At-Home Orders. What does this mean for your Community?
Gov. Gavin Newsom has lifted regional stay-at-home orders across California Monday morning due to signs of improving conditions and the progress of the vaccine distribution plan in place. This change will allow businesses such as restaurants to resume outdoor operations in many areas, though local officials could choose to continue stricter rules depending on Covid statistics in their regions/cities. The state is also lifting a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew.
This decision was reached due to improving trends in infection rates and hospital capcities over the past week. Further updates will be provided by a press conference from the Governor later Monday afternoon. Local and Regional restrictions may still be in place though by local leadership so please continue to practice smart decision making. You're encouraged to continue to practice social distance and to wear a mask. While things are improving, they are still a long way to a return to normalcy post-pandemic.
